Getting ready to head out!

Hi all,

Thanks for visiting my blog on Ukraine 2016!  I’m getting ready to head out, and it has been so much more work than it used to be!  In the past, I would simply book my airfare into Odesa and that was pretty much all the preparation needed.  My apartment would be waiting for me, with my landlord picking me up from the airport.

Now it’s a whole different ballgame!  This time, I’ve had to book hotels, get my US Visa papers in order, figure out transportation, etc.  On top of that, I’m traveling to Kyiv as well, so that is an entirely different set of transportation and hotels, etc.  But all of that is now finished, and in less than three weeks I will be off!

I’m hoping to share a daily blog while I am gone (Aug 17th-31st), with pictures and videos and my thoughts on the day’s activities.  There will be A LOT to talk about, including the Ukrainian Independence Day celebrations, as well as filming an episode of my show, Rabbit Ears, from Ukraine!  And for those in the know, yes, my friend Tom and I will be eating at McFoxy’s!

So I hope you come back from time to time to share a little into what it’s like to be in Ukraine!
